Posters

A4 and A3 posters are available from both St Katharine's West and 65 North Street. Your posters can be printed quickly and efficiently, assuming that you have provided a 'print-ready' file. Where possible you should provide a PDF file. 

Large Format Posters

Large format posters (A2-A0) are available from St Katharine's West only. There are three poster printers that are capable of printing up to 1.5 metres wide by whatever length you require.

Four types of media are available:

• Standard semi-gloss paper, 260gsm.
• Economy paper, 170gsm. A cheaper, uncoated alternative to the standard semi-gloss paper. 
• Tyvek®, 145gsm. A woven, polyester, very durable material which is completely waterproof. It achieves the same effect as having your poster laminated but is more robust at a lower cost. 
• Polyester Canvas, 260gsm. A lightweight, flexible, scratchproof and waterproof material that can be folded for ease of transportation. 

All paper posters can be laminated, however as an alternative, posters can be printed onto Tyvek®, 145gsm. 

You should allow 48 hours' notice, especially for conference posters. For large group sessions of up to 50 posters, you should allow a week notice. If you are on a tight deadline, contact printanddesign@st-andrews.ac.uk and the team will do everything they can to accommodate your needs. 

Posters should be provided as PDF files and your file should be sized correctly, i.e. the dimensions are the same as you would like your poster.
