Course information

Join us for this lively session where we will discuss different forms of leadership, ways in which leadership may stand apart from management, and how this is executed in different capacities across the university. The session will involve a presentation on leadership, a panel of colleagues who will be engaging with this topic to encourage further discussion, and building of a shared understanding on how this is implemented across a diverse range of areas at the University of St Andrews.

Aims and objectives

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Have gained an understanding as to differences between leadership and management
  • be involved in discussing ways in which different styles are implemented across the university
  • discuss the characteristics of effective leadership
