Course information

What is MOS?

The University of St Andrews is an authorised testing centre for Microsoft Office Specialist (or MOS for short) Certification exams. MOS certifications are a globally recognised, industry standard qualification, backed by Microsoft to validate desktop computer skills. The credential is gained by passing a practical, task-based exam. There is a separate exam, and hence certificate, for each application, at graduated levels, reflecting both expertise and experience in using Office programs. Over the years, our MOS programme participants have benefitted not only from the CV boost from achieving these credentials, but also the personal and professional development gained in the course of preparing for these qualifications. IELLI is offering the opportunity to achieve these certifications to all staff and students, free of charge.

What will I hear in the briefing?

The session will give details on the programme:

  • the certification process from registration to examination
  • certifications available in Office 365 (Microsoft 365 Apps)
  • resources for exam preparation

The presentation will be followed by the opportunity to ask questions.
