St Andrews manager programme
This programme will focus on the critical competencies that you need as a manager at the University of St Andrews. The programme entails four consecutive days consisting of outcome focussed workshops covering how to manage yourself, your staff, and your service.

Programme aims
- To build line management capability.
- To build critical management knowledge and skills.
- To increase self-awareness in relation to own management competencies.
- To create a community of managers transcending boundaries between units, schools, disciplines, and professional backgrounds.
Target audience
The St Andrews manager programme is suited to all staff who have existing people management responsibilities and are looking to develop and enhance their management skills.
Time commitment
The programme is a blend of Organisational and Staff Development Services (OSDS) directed learning and in person workshops covering four consecutive days which includes action learning set.
Commitment includes:
- Four full day sessions – two workshops per day.
- One to two hours of directed learning between sessions.

We are now currently open to managers signing up through the Personal Development Management System (PDMS). Once you have requested your interest in attending the programme Organisational and Staff Development Services (OSDS) will contact you to organise which date set you would prefer to attend.
