Learning and development

Learning and development are a range of microlearning or workshops that will cover either single learning objectives or multiple learning objectives, specifically for managers. They may be in the form of self-direct learning on digital platforms or in person workshops.

Aim: To provide managers with learning and development opportunities to support their role and career development.

Outcomes:

  • Training material for just-in-time needs.
  • Curated learning material to minimise managers searching time.
  • Learning resources to suit a variety of learning preferences.
  • Dedicated learning for every step of the employee lifecycle.

The Personal Development Management System (PDMS) is used for booking all face-to-face events, whether in person or through Microsoft Teams. Moodle is a platform that hosts various digital content, including eLearning modules and links to other resources like Ted Talks or LinkedIn Learning.

Feedback is encouraged to enhance this provision, so managers are invited to suggest additional training needs by emailing osds@st-andrews.ac.uk.
