People Management Pathway
The People Management Pathway is a development program for staff at the University who have direct reports, regardless of their experience level or title. It's designed for both seasoned managers and those newly promoted, as well as individuals who may not hold a formal management title but are still responsible for overseeing people. This program aims to support all staff involved in people management across various areas of the University.
The pathway aims to:
- build line management capability
- build critical management knowledge and skills
- increase self-awareness in relation to own management competencies
- provide opportunities for self-reflection on your values and behaviours, to foster authenticity in your approach to management.
- create a community of managers transcending boundaries between units, schools, disciplines, and professional backgrounds.
- support the People Strategy.
If you have any questions about the management development pathway at the University or have any requests for learning opportunities, please email: osds@st-andrews.ac.uk. This pathway will continue to grow and change to adapt to manager’s needs.
