University induction events
Welcome to the University of St Andrews!
To help new staff settle into their new role, the University provides two University wide activities to support the workplace induction that your manager will provide.
New Staff Induction
This is an in person event where new staff are welcomed to the University and have the opportunity to hear from senior leadership. There is also the opportunity to speak with different teams as well as fellow inductees.
Staff Induction Essentials
The Staff Induction Essentials is an online programme hosted on Moodle. It contains a number of eLearning modules and a virtual tour. The information incapsulates all the information required by new staff to feel as impowered and informed as possible within their probationary period.
University induction for new staff
This induction, organised by OSDS, runs four times a year in February, May, August and November. All new staff to the University are strongly encouraged to attend this induction event. This event takes place in person in Lower and Upper College Hall. For further information and booking:
