Strings in Spring Terms and conditions

Thursday 1 - Sunday 4 May 2025

These general conditions, together with the online booking confirmation or application form, comprise the contract between the client and the University of St Andrews Music Centre (the Organiser).

1. Booking and payment
   Places are limited and are allocated strictly in order of receipt of payment of all ensemble members’ fees.
   
   
2. Cancellation
   The Organiser must be notified in writing of all cancellations. The following cancellation charges shall apply:
   • Before 28 February 2025: 20% of total cost
   • Between 28 February and 28 March 2025: 50% of total cost
   • After 28 March 2025: 100% of total cost

   If a member of a group withdraws from the course, it is the responsibility of the group to find a replacement member.

   The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the course, up to four weeks before it is due to start, if numbers enrolled have not reached the minimum required. In this case, course fees will be refunded in full.

3. Liability
   The University maintains a public liability policy covering legal liability for bodily injury and property damage arising out of the University's business. Any loss, damage to property or injury not resulting from negligence will not be covered by the University.
   
   
4. General
   The Organiser reserves the right to replace the advertised staff or amend the programme where it is found to be avoidable.
   
   
5. Insurance
   Participants are strongly advised to take out travel insurance or adequate cover for the duration of their course and journey. The University does not provide insurance to cover cancellation costs, loss of baggage or instruments, injury, money etc.
