The Wardlaw Museum is easy to find on foot from the town centre. From North Street walk down Butts Wynd, located beside the University Chapel, until it emerges on The Scores. The Museum is just across the road.
From the castle, you can continue along The Scores towards the golf course. The Museum is on the right-hand side.
Driving
You can reach St Andrews by the main roads A91, A917 and A915. From North Street turn onto North Castle Street, beside the pedestrian crossing near the cathedral. At the end of North Castle Street turn left onto The Scores.
There is limited free parking on The Scores and paid for parking on North Street. Alternatively, free parking is available at the North Haugh at the edge of town, from where it is a ten-minute walk up North Street.
There is no visitor cark parking but disabled parking is available. Please make the museum aware if you need the facility beforehand and we will ensure there is a space for you.
Public transport
You can get to Wardlaw Museum by bus and train.
The nearest bus stop to the Wardlaw Museum is located beside the University Chapel on North Street, KY16 9AA. From here it is a two-minute walk down Butts Wynd, immediately beside the Chapel, to the museum. Bus routes CG1, MD5, 92, 92A, 92B, 92C and 92D stop at this stop. There is no bus stop on The Scores.
The bus station is located a 10-minute walk from the Wardlaw Museum.
The nearest train station is Leuchars, located 5.5 miles from the Wardlaw Museum. During the day there are buses every 10 minutes between the station and St Andrews. The station is served by bus route 99 and buses have low floor and wheelchair access.
