Biography
Jiahong is an experienced TCSOL (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) teacher and researcher with a UK PhD in Education， focused on Chinese language teaching and learning. She has 11 years of experience in teaching Chinese as an additional language in China, the UK and South Korea and across all educational levels from schools to universities with different Chinese language curriculums, particularly HSK and CEFR. Her BA&MA education is also with TCSOL. She was the winner of the First Prize and “Best Teaching Design” Awards of the “2021 UK Mandarin Teaching Championship” England Competition and the Third Prize of the national final competition. She also contributed to the CLEC (Centre for Language Education and Cooperation) UK office's Chinese language teacher training programmes. She is a regular member of the judging panel for the “UK Mandarin Teaching Championship” competition and for the UK "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Speaking Competition for students and a full member of BCLTS (British Chinese Language Teaching Society).
