I am a scholar of contemporary Chinese literature and media, specifically focusing on literature-to-screen adaptations. I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge in July 2024, with a thesis titled “Branding History: Literature-to-Screen Adaptations and China’s Cultural Memory of the Second World War.” My academic publications in Chinese cover various topics including revolutionary literature in socialist China, avant-garde literature, and literary criticism of contemporary young writers. I have been modifying my PhD thesis into my first academic monograph. This book examines the adaptation of war literature into new media, including films, TV series, video games, and museums. Building upon my PhD thesis on adaptation, my second book project further explores how female voices in China are expressed through the multimodal translation of  feminist theory and literature.
