UUKi grant for Victoria Donovan and Emily Finer
Victoria Donovan and Emily Finer from the Department of Russian have been awarded £198,162 through the UUKi UK-Ukraine twinning grant scheme for their project “An Ostroh Academy-University of St Andrews Partnership for Advancing the Public Humanities and Building Cultural Resilience in Ukraine.”
The project uses a programme of residential and non-residential fellowships and interdisciplinary workshops for scholars in the humanities and social sciences to strengthen collaborative links between the University of St Andrews and Ostroh Academy.
Building on synergies between the institutions that have been established across university departments and disciplines, the initiative is designed to facilitate the creation of a dynamic interdisciplinary research community that will use its interconnected expertise to advance the public humanities and build cultural resilience, contributing to the task of building a sustainable, equitable future in Ukraine.
