Dr Fergus Chadwick
Lecturer in Statistics
Research areas
I am broadly interested in how we tackle complex observation processes with statistics, particularly for applications in ecology and epidemiology. My work focuses on developing new Bayesian methods to deal with these problems, at improving communication between applied scientists and statisticians, and attempting to synthesise the highly disparate methods already applied to these problems. I enjoy collaborating with researchers (including students) and practitioners from different backgrounds, so if you would be interested in working together please get in touch!
I am a member of the Centres for Research into Ecological and Environmental Modelling (CREEM) and for Modelling Social Complexity (CFMSC), and the Early Career Lead for the National Centre for Statistical Ecology (NCSE).
