In the University of St Andrews, all Schools have appointed Student Wellbeing Officers.
Dr Xi Xi is the Student Wellbeing Officer for the Department of Management, Dr Kulnicha Meechaiyo is the Student Wellbeing Officer in the Department of Finance, and Dr Vibhor Saxena is the Student Wellbeing Officer for Economics. All students in the Business School, whether undergraduate, postgraduate taught or postgraduate research, can contact them directly about any academic wellbeing related matters on email:
mgmt-stuwellbeing@st-andrews.ac.uk (Management)
finstuwellbeing@st-andrews.ac.uk (Finance)
econdosw@st-andrews.ac.uk (Economics).
As Student Wellbeing Officers, they work to raise awareness of existing support for student wellbeing and mental health in the University, and provides support on academic matters in cases of extenuating circumstances where mental health and/or wellbeing is raised.
The University of St Andrews recognises that mental health challenges can affect the wellbeing of students, and it aims to build a culture of care, tolerance and resilience throughout its community. Taking care of ourselves emotionally, physically, and mentally can really affect our happiness, our levels of stress and how we study and work.
The Business School cares for the wellbeing of its students and aims to foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all.
