Academic integrity - guidelines for good practice
The reputation of the Department of Management and the University relies on staff and students behaving with the highest academic integrity. As the programmes help create individuals who will take up responsible positions in a variety of organisations, the Department has a responsibility to ensure that its students' academic standards are beyond reproach.
All programmes in the Department encourage students to work together and discuss ideas, this is an integral part of the learning process. However, you should clearly separate discussion and collaboration from written preparation and submission of your individually assessed work.
All students are responsible for completing the TGAP (Training in Good Academic Practice) as part of their induction and matriculation process. The Department also provides information during Orientation Week to help students understand the academic integrity policy and what is best practice.
Should you have any questions about maintaining academic integrity, please get in touch with the Director of your year or programme, the Academic Misconduct Officer or the Wellbeing Officer, all of whom can provide guidance to you on this matter.
