Student writing winners
The School of Management are delighted to announce the success of two of their students in the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) writing competition.
Third-year student Frazer Towers won first place for his essay, 'Socio-emotional wealth and ethics: what can we learn from family firms?'.
Fourth-year student Harriet Prior was awarded third place for her essay, 'The role of buyer in the race to save the rainforest: political approach or beyond their scope?'. Their essays will be available from the UK UNPRME Chapter website in due course.
This year's competition sought to reward excellent student engagement with responsible management themes central to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This is the second year in a row that students from the School have won this competition, a testament to staff and student commitment to the School's ethos of responsible enterprise.
The School was among the first 100 management schools, business schools and universities from around the world to endorse the PRME when it was launched as a United Nations supported initiative in 2007.
Well done, Frazer and Harriet!
