World Leading scholarship

St Leonard's Postgraduate College is inviting applications for the St Leonard’s College World Leading scholarships, Student-led projects. Management PhD studentship

The Department of Management is offering a competitive PhD studentship in connection with a supervisor-led project starting in September 2024.

The studentship will comprise an annual stipend at UKRI level, which in 2023-2024 is £18,622, and full tuition fees for three years and six months (3.5 years) at UK or Overseas level.

There are five projects:

  • Foundation governance and leadership: investigating governance structures and leadership dynamics in philanthropic foundations
  • The craft imaginary: shaping a better future for work
  • Business ethics and the history of philosophy
  • Social value and organisation(s) in the circular economy
  • Examining the emotional impact of knowledge translation.

Exceptional graduates who wish to be considered for a funded studentship are invited to submit a PhD proposal in relation to one of these topics.

Finance PhD studentship

The Department of Finance is offering a competitive PhD studentship to fund student-led projects starting in September 2024.

The studentship will comprise an annual stipend at UKRI level, which in 2023-2024 is £18,622, and full tuition fees for three years at UK or Overseas level.

Exceptional graduates who wish to be considered for a funded studentship are invited to submit a PhD proposal. Applicants are strongly encouraged to align their proposal with topics in either:

  • asset pricing
  • banking
  • corporate finance
  • household finance.
