Research seminar on haunted organisations
In May 2023, the School of Management's Knowledge and Practice thematic research group welcomed Dr Justine Grønbæk Pors from Copenhagen Business School. She presented her research on the topic, 'Haunted organisations: re-thinking the complex histories of organisations and how they matter in the present'.
The seminar used the lens of hauntology to consider the use of time in organisations, with wide ranging references from the methodology of diffraction and Donna Haraway's considerations of taxidermy to campaigns to engage girls in STEM subjects. The Q&A moved further into discussions of semiotics, colonial views, queer theory and the relationship between humans and the rest of nature.
