Winter graduation 2021: taught postgraduate prizes
In the run-up to graduation, the School of Management is sharing stories from the recipients of the School's taught postgraduate (Masters) prizes, which are traditionally awarded at the Winter graduation. This fifth story in the series is a reflection written by Rebecca Hummelsberger, winner of the Peter Grinyer PGT Prize for the MLitt Management 2021.
St Andrews has always been my dream, and my time here has greatly influenced and shaped me. I learned so much, met so many interesting, intelligent people, made friends for life and found the direction I want to take in my career. I am extremely grateful for this extraordinary experience. And a special thanks to everyone who taught us and who made this university experience possible, and so valuable and unique.
Since handing in my dissertation, I started working for KPMG as a Junior Consultant in their sustainability services sector. Sustainability services focuses on consulting international companies and conglomerates regarding their sustainability management and processes, aligning operations with government and EU regulations, as well as auditing yearly sustainability reports.
This is my first dive into a career in sustainability. I am learning a lot and am very grateful for this opportunity and all the great colleagues at KPMG. Yet wherever I am, St Andrews and its people will always have a special place in my heart!
