Scotland and entrepreneurship

21 June 2021

How could Scotland become a more entrepreneurial and ambitious country if it were to achieve independence? This is the subject of a report by Professor Ross Brown, which was commissioned by the Scottish think tank, Reform Scotland. There are plans by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to hold a session with policy makers from around the world to discuss the report's implications for other smaller nations.

The work has attracted media attention both in Scotland and across the rest of the UK. It featured in the Scotsman article, Scrap Scottish Enterprise to boost entrepreneurship, claims professor.  It also featured in an article in the New Statesman, Why Scotland needs to end its tolerance of mediocrity.
