SCONUL Access

The SCONUL scheme allows academic staff, postgraduates (full and part-time), online, part-time undergraduates and placement students to visit and borrow from participating university libraries across the UK and Ireland. SCONUL Access also provides a reference-only service for most undergraduates. Complete the application online. Local university libraries such as Dundee and Abertay are members of this scheme. 

National Library of Scotland

Anyone can join the National Library, but you need to have your main address in Scotland to access many digital resources. To register for a library card you will need to provide identification including proof of your address. You can complete the application online.   

British Library
