T. Riis, Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot (Odense, 1988), II, p.199-200. Jorgen Ogilvie was born in 1688, and died December 1710. He was the son of a merchant, possibly Hans Ogilvie. He sailed abroad for trade and was engaged in 1709 as a cadet. Ogilvie was appointed a sublieutenant on 29/4/1710 but was killed soon after. He was buried on 15/12/1710 in St. Mary's church.
