William Watson was a son of Scotsman James Watson [SSNE 7426].

In February 1688 he gained permission to run a tobacco spinning enterprise in Gamla Stan. It was located in the "southern quarter". In 1689 William Watson had two tobacco-spinners and two male servants working for him there. Little more is known of this business.
