John Cunningham was appointed as gardener of the royal gardens near Copenhagen Castle on 18 May 1602. On 13 December 1619, he obtained the monopoly of the sale of seeds in the towns of Sjaelland. Cunningham was elected a member of the Trinity Guild (Danske Kompagni) 1606T. Riis, Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot (Odense, 1988), II, p.191.
