Sir Thomas Panton was an officer in the Anglo-Dutch Brigade. He served from at least 1605 and fought at Juliers-Cleves in 1614. During his tenure in Dutch service he held the following ranks in the third regiment of the Brigade:
Sergeant-Major: 1605-1627.
