SETON, [SSNE 8227]
Text source
Captain Seton was a Scottish captain in Dutch and Venetian service. He appears in 1617 in a list of colonels and captains who accompanied Count John Ernest of Nassau to serve Venice during the Uskok War. It was reported on the list that he was a lieutenant in the company of his brother, most likely to be Captain J. Seton [SSNE 8115] of the Scots-Dutch Brigade. Captain Seton was killed at the second siege of Gradisca in June 1617.
