Alexander Fleming was an ensign in the company of Sir James Livingston [SSNE 8050] in the Scots-Dutch Brigade. He was the son of John Fleming, Second Earl of Wigtown. While garrisoned in Schiedam in 1637, he married Helena Neilson.
