Jacob Leijell attended Uppsala university in 1680. He may have been the first son of James [SSNE 4934] and his first wife, and thus the brother of Adam [SSNE 836]. Cf. [SSNE 2359]. In 1684 Jacob founded a foundry in Knutby, Uppsala and bought rights to numerous other works.
