William Scott was a captain in the second regiment of the Scots-Dutch Brigade, under the command of Colonel Sir Robert Henderson [SSNE 4975]. He was commissioned as captain on 12 March 1621, replacing Captain Murray. He was killed on 19 September 1622 at the siege of Bergen-op-Zoom. Command of his company fell to George Lamont, who was commissioned as captain around 27 November 1622.
