DICK, ESKILD [SSNE 811]

Eskild Dick was perhaps the son of Alexander Dick [SSNE 810] and his consort of Svaneke. Eskild was born orn c.1600 (?), and acted as a skipper at Svaneke by 1633 and sherrif's officer by 1641. He was also a lieutenant of militia, and was killed in action in 1645. Eskild had, by his unnamed wife, five childrenT. Riis, Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot (Odense, 1988), II, pp.185-6.
