PARCHAL, JAN [SSNE 7985]
Text source
John Parchal was an English soldier serving under one Captain Makigny in the Dutch Republic in 1609. He was the widower of Maeyken Cornelis but on 7 February 1609 he married one Anneke Hutsen [SSNE 7986], a woman from Scotland and the "widow" of one Jacques Bouchainy. The wedding was witnessed by one Robert Lindsay and his wife, Janneke Hamilton. However, the wedding was either stopped or annulled upon the discovery that Hutsen still had a husband and children.
