Thomas Simpson (1582-after 1630)was a viol-player, composer from England, a compatriot of William Brade [SSNE]. In 1608 he was at the court of the Elector Palatine, Heidelberg; between 1615-1621 he was at the court of Count Ernst III of Holstein-Schaumburg at Buckeburg. In 1622 he was employed at the royal court of King Christian IV of Denmark-Norway. He published music as well.
