Text source
Hans lamb served in the Uppland regiment from 1619. He became an NCO in 1623 and an ensign the following year. Lamb's promotion continued gaining his lieutenant's commission in 1626 and the rank of captain in 1640. He served through until 1652. He is probably a relative of Archibald Lamb (who we know was born in Scotland), and with whom John served concurrently in the same regiment in the 1620s.
