Operating on behalf of a collective of merchants from Edinburgh, David Guthrie of Montrose worked off documentation provided by the Scottish Privy Council in Sweden in 1614. The Edinburgh merchants whom Guthrie represented were named as Hercules Crawmont, Johannes Weir, Alexander Foster, Gilbertus Haliday, Johannes Kinnimont, Johanes Dundie and Adam Finlason ‘mercatores Edinburgenses’
