Text source
Maria Lyall (1647-1740) was the daughter of James Lyall of Arbroath [SSNE 4934] and Barbara Martha Dress (1632-1694). She married Sven Möhlman (1636-87), and had a son Jacob (1685-1761), who inherited the Leijel fortune when his uncle Adam [SSNE 836] died. After the death of Möhlman, she was married on 12 Aug 1706 to Peter Schnack (born Nyköping in 1632, died in Stockholm on 31 July 1713). Maria was his 4th wife. Schnack (or Snack) was governor of Gotland County in 1710, and had been a councilor at the court of Queen Christina in 1653. Schnack was enobled on 3 May 1688 and introduced into the Riddarhus in 1699 under number 1132.
