Nathaniel Watson was based in Hamburg in the 1670s. A Swedish based Scottish merchant, Alexander Waddell [SSNE 835], drew 1,000 on cargo through Warson in 1672. He was also mentioned in the letters of the Danish based British consul Sir John Paul in letters from Hamburg merchants in 1674.
