James Long/Logan was a burgess of Stockholm active in the iron trade during the last two decades of the sixteenth century.

In 1582 James Long is listed amongst the 35 top-taxed merchants of Stockholm, paying 18 marks; importing goods worth 3,216 marks (compared with 25 marks in export fees). The wares listed were Osmund iron, iron bar, copper plate and barrels of butter.

According to Stockholms Skotteböcker James Long was registered as paying taxes every year from 1582 until 1592.

In 1584 he was listed as living on Österlånggatan in Gamla Stan.
