Alexander Hervie is mentioned as a merchant in the town of Åbo (Turku in Finnish) in Finland 1624. Alexander died in 1630. He married Sofia Hansdotter and with her probably had two children, Elisabet (d.1680) and Thomas (d.1687). Elisabet Alexandersdotter Hervie went on to marry Hans Hansson (d.1675) who seved as a town councillor in Åbo. Thomas Hervie (buried on 20th October 1687 in Åbo) was most likely a son of Alexander Hervie. He is mentioned as an inn-servant in Åbo 1624 and was later an innkeeper and tax collector in the city.
