Andrew Watts was born in 1589. He was an officer in the Swedish army and rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel. A portrait of him dated 1625 exists in Wiby. He was married to Margareta Matz (she died in 1653). He died on 24 June in 1655. They had two daughters, Helena and Catharina
