James Clerck was living in Stockholm in the second half of the seventeenth century.
James Clerck was appointed 'stadsfiskal' (head of prosecutions?) and Stockholm city councillor in 1679.
James Clerck was married to Catharina Carlsdotter Ekenbom. They had a daughter, named Christina, who was twice married to Swedish priests, the first Jonas Andree Petrelius and the second Nicolaus Petri Hiort.
James Clerck died in 1679, and was buried in Storkyrkan, Gamla Stan.
