TEIT, JACOB [SSNE 6944]
Text source
James Teit/Tait was a merchant active in Stockholm in 1570. He was probably Scottish.
In August 1570 the Stockholm city magistrates noted that James Teit had a stall or shop to the east of a plot on Södermalm, on what was then called Wargzgrenden.
Just a little over two weeks later James Teit was accused of deception, for his role in providing a written document alleging that Arvid Håkensson was prepared to sell a house located at Norre port (possibly in Gamla Stan) to Michil Matzon (perhaps Mikkel Madsen?).
