William Watson was a member of the Gothenburg community in the second half of the seventeenth century. He was a godparent at Patrick Clerck's baptism (the son of Robert [SSNE 6127]) on 31 May 1677. He may be the same as the William Watson who appeared on the Gothenburg shipping registers. In 1676 he sent goods to Montrose; in 1677 he again sent goods to Scotland but also La Rochelle and Amsterdam. In 1678 he send cargo to Amsterdam, Dundee, London, "Scotland", "England", Ireland, Newcastle and Leith. He then appears not to undertake any further shipmentsW.
