WILSON, ROBERT [SSNE 6882]
Text source
Robert Wilson was Scottish skipper operating in the North Sea and the Baltic. The Edinburgh merchant James Graham wrote to Andrew Russell [SSNE 143] telling him that Wilson was bound for Bremen with barley. He asked that, should Wilson be blown off-course into Rotterdam, perhaps Russell could help him dispose of his cargo before it spoiled. By 1694 a Robert Wilson, perhaps the same man, was registered as the skipper of the Abo registered ship 'St Johannes' on a journey from St Martin to AboNational Archives of Scotland, Russell Papers, RH15/106/570/1-4.
