James/Johan Williamson was a son of Robert Williamson [SSNE 6726] and his second wife Catharina Alhed Muhlenphort. His father had migrated from Scotland (either Montrose, according to Williamsen; or Bo'ness, according to Dobson) circa 1690. He was born in 1707. He inherited 264 riksdaler and 4/5 s. on his father's death in 1716, as did his brother and sister and his half-brother. He studied at a British university (unknown which one) and died unmarried of an illness on 19 March 1733S.
