Peter Boswell was provisions master in the Swedish army. In 1629 he arranged for the soldiers in Marienwerder, under Thomas Muschamp [SSNE 3168], to be provided with 2 and 1/2 riksdaler a month for victuals. In February 1630 Chancellor Axel Oxenstierna interceded on Boswell's behalf with Georg Wilhelm, the duke of Brandenburg, when Boswell wanted to sell his property in PrussiaRikskansleren Axel Oxenstiernas skrifter och brefvexling, first series, IV, pp. 408, 429, 469, 513; ibid, V, p.111.
