Peter Boswell was provisions master in the Swedish army. In 1629 he arranged for the soldiers in Marienwerder, under Thomas Muschamp [SSNE 3168], to be provided with 2 and 1/2 riksdaler a month for victuals. In February 1630 Chancellor Axel Oxenstierna interceded on Boswell's behalf with Georg Wilhelm, the duke of Brandenburg, when Boswell wanted to sell his property in Prussia
