SCOTT, PETER [SSNE 6656]
Text source
Peter Scott was a servant to Duke Karl (who later became King Karl IX) in 1568. During the revolt against King Erik XIV which his two brothers, Johan and Karl instigated, Peter Scott was taken prisoner by Erik's people and maltreated. He received 100 "peningar" in compensation from Johan in 1568. That year on 20 and 22 July he also received "täre peningar" (expenses?) for the Scots in Västergötland and the Scots in Småland, probably for military services rendered by these Scots. The amount was 22 "peningar"Swedish Riksarkiv, Ämnessamlingar, strödda historiska handlingar, vol.6.
