Benedict Fistulator was a Scot who migrated to Sweden in the first half of the seventeenth century and settled in Gothenburg. On 5 October 1631 he married Catelena Josten in the town (she outlived him, and was buried on 7 August 1660). Their surviving children were Eugenius (d.1696), Gustav (d. 1718), Catharina and Maria (married Ratiche Seth 1 January 1655). Three other children died in 1635, 1640 and 1644. Benedict was noted as a councillor for Gothenburg from 1648-1651. He died in 1651 and was buried on 19 February that year.
