William Bannerman, a Scot from Aberdeen, was the son of the Aberdeen burgess John Bannerman. William had migrated to Poland and presumably became a burgess there. In 1619 Andrew Hunter [SSNE 5122], another Aberdonian burgess in Poland, was commissioned to obtain the 100 florins which William had left in legacy for the Aberdeen hospitalAberdeen Council Letters, vol.1 (London, 1942), p.166.
