SINCLAIR, CHRISTINE [SSNE 6591]
Text source
Christine Sinclair was married to Thomas Dixon [SSNE 6580] a burgess of Bergen. He died by May 1607. Christine became involved in a case against Sofren Sofrensson (mayor of Bergen) and Maurits Busk (a burgess of the city). She entered into correspondence with Christian IV of Denmark-Norway in 1617, and he instructed Knut Urne to intervene on her behalf. It is possible that she was the daughter of the important Scottish diplomat and Danish nobleman Andrew Sinclair [SSNE 1578]
