Text source
John Delbritz, an Englishman from Barnstable, had sent a ship called the Aguila to Lisbon in 1609. There it had been plundered by Danish pirates on their ship Jupiter, and another Englishman called William Weet from the Jupiter had brought some of the goods to Norway and some of them to Amsterdam. King James VI and I had already corresponded with King Christian IV of Denmark-Norway about the case. That year in June Christian IV interceded on Delbritz' behalf to arrange compensation for the goods he had lostNorske Rigsregistranter, vol.4 (1870), p.322.
